Correct yourself, and get lists and paragraphs
In shortYou can correct yourself as you talk: say “the call is at two, no wait, two thirty” and Yazsın writes “The call is at 2:30.”
Correct yourself
the call is at two, no wait, two thirty
The call is at 2:30.
You can correct yourself with words like no wait
, sorry, I meant
, actually, make that
or scratch that
.
Yazsın usually understands and writes only what you meant in the end.
Plain sentences like No, I can't make it
stay as they are.
Talking in Turkish? ay yok
and pardon
work the same way.
Get a list
here's what I need: bread, milk, eggs
Here's what I need: - Bread - Milk - Eggs
- Start with words like
here's what I need
,shopping list
orthings to bring
, then name three or more things. - If you ask for something and name four or more things, that becomes a list too. For example:
can you grab apples, bananas, yogurt and granola on your way back?
- Count with
first, second
and you get a numbered list. - Two things, a story about what happened, or people's names don't become a list. They stay in the sentence.
In WhatsApp, the list shows one item per line.
Long messages get paragraphs
Yazsın usually splits long messages into paragraphs where the topic changes. That makes them easier to read.
Turkish words stay Turkish
Mix Turkish into your English, and Yazsın usually writes those words in Turkish, the way you said them.
It works the other way round too: English words in a Turkish message stay English.
Check before you send
Take a quick look before you send.
If it's not right, tap Undo on your phone, or press ⌘ Z on a Mac, and say it again.
All of this works the same on Android, iPhone and Mac.
