How do I pick an emoji on the keyboard?
In shortTap the smiley key and pick your emoji. To go back to the letters, tap ABC.

- Tap the smiley key. On Android it's in the keyboard's top strip. On iPhone it's in the bottom row.
- Browse the sections and tap your emoji.
- To go back to the letters, tap ABC.

In Android 0.2, the smiley key was in the bottom row. In 0.3 it moved to the top strip.
Recently used
The emoji you picked last come first, so you don't have to look for your favorites.
On Android, before you've picked any, a few popular ones show first: 🙏 ❤️ 👍 😊 😂 🌹
Skin tone
- Touch and hold an emoji that comes in skin tones.
- Pick the tone in the small list that appears.
On iPhone, emoji that come in skin tones have a small dot in the corner.
Deleting
The delete key always deletes an emoji as a whole. A skin tone or a flag is never left half deleted.
On Android, the Speak button works while the emoji are open too.
